What ever adventure you are looking for family fun on some low angle ice or your dream ascent of Bridal Veil, it is all here in the San Juan’s. With cooperation from Peak Mountain Guides, HMAG has access to Eureka, S. Mineral creek, Camp Bird and above areas. Ice climbing is the perfect adventure that transitions to other climbing disciplines. Cramponing, swinging tools, technique, movement, endurance, strength, acclimatizing to cold weather are used thoughout the day of exciting and rewarding climbing.

French Alps- Waterfall climbing off of Argentière Glacier

Waterfall climbing @Argentière Glacier has many routes, some of them quite long. Most of the climbing in this area is of grade 3+ or harder, with the majority of routes in the 4 and 4+ range of difficulty. A fun and excited day out with limits lines. Then try some Alpine ice climbing, such as Chere couloir, Contaimine-Mazeaud, Jager Couloir, Cosmiques Ice fall or challenging Burnier-Vogler gully III 4, M 250m.

This trip is exclusively designed by High Mountain Adventure Guides. A combination of trekking through the Khumbu valley and ice climbing around village to village. Set underneath the Himalayan giants of Everest, Ama Dablam Lhotse you feel like you’re in the heart of the mountains as you swing your tools up these waterfalls. January – mid February is the best time.
